In support of this year’s Road Safety Week, Trakm8 is thrilled to announce the return of their quest to find the Road Safety Hero of 2023. Brake’s Road Safety Week, taking place from November 19th to November 25th, is focused on addressing one of the most pressing issues on our roads: speeding.
Under the banner “Let’s talk about speed,” the theme of this year’s Road Safety Week, the UK’s largest annual road safety initiative, seeks to spark a crucial conversation about why speeding is still regarded as acceptable in some contexts, the consequences of such behaviour, and the compelling case for reducing speed to save lives.
Every day, five people lose their lives on the roads. The pressing question remains: Why do we tolerate speeding? Trakm8, a leader in fleet technology solutions, is determined to honour drivers who go above and beyond to ensure the safety of Britain’s roads.
Trakm8 is extending an open invitation to all UK fleet managers, inviting them to nominate a deserving driver from their fleet as the Road Safety Hero 2023. We are particularly interested in recognising exceptional drivers who prioritise road safety, with a keen focus on their speeding records. We intend to reward and give the recognition that such dedicated drivers truly deserve.
Nomination is a easy, fleet managers can simply click on the following link: https://get.trakm8.com/road-safety-hero/ and nominate their road safety hero from their fleet. All entries will be diligently reviewed by Trakm8, with the top five entries to be revealed at the start of Road Safety Week through our social media platforms. The ultimate winner will be unveiled during “Fleet Friday” at the week’s end. Deadline for entries will be Friday 17th November at 5pm.
The victorious driver will receive a well-earned prize: a Weekend Two-Night Luxury Lake District Break for Two at The Langdale Hotel, alongside the esteemed title of Road Safety Hero, and a certificate of recognition.
Last year’s inaugural winner was a dedicated E.ON smart meter technician, hailed for her unwavering commitment to promoting road safety within her immediate team and across E.ON’s extensive workforce.
Nick Guise, Group Marketing Manager at Trakm8, commented, “This year’s Road Safety Week theme, ‘Let’s talk about speed,’ inspires us to find a driver who passionately embodies this idea, actively contributing to road safety and serving as a beacon for their fellow fleet drivers. In the UK, five people succumb to road fatalities daily, and as a fleet technology provider, we see it as our mission to bolster road safety through education and monitoring driver behaviour, particularly regarding speeding. We are excited to relaunch the Road Safety Hero search, an excellent opportunity to celebrate some of the finest fleet drivers in Britain while championing road safety nationwide.”
