Trakm8 scooped the Fleet Safety Partnership Award at the prestigious UK Fleet Champions Awards 2020, an event that celebrates organisations taking significant measures to improve road and driver safety.
Hosted by Brake, the road safety charity, the virtual ceremony saw 40 of the most influential fleet operators, suppliers and manufacturers in the UK fleet industry compete to win one of 14 awards on the night. Trakm8 saw off stiff competition in order to claim the prize, with the expert-judging panel highlighting the significant improvements its solutions provided to Altrad Services UK.
Trakm8’s telematics solution highlighted data that allowed Altrad to bring in a comprehensive company-wide program to eliminate common driving errors and decrease the incidence of accidents. In partnership with Trakm8, Altrad reduced its spending on fines and repairs by 40% and reduced incident numbers from an annualised rate of 32% to 12.5%. Using Trakm8’s 0-100% traffic light system, driver behaviour improved from 62% to 93%.
